Internationalization at IUPUI

Internationalization is a strategic priority at IUPUI. With a record number of international students, a strong history of educational and research partnerships in countries around the world, and a steadily increasing number of study abroad opportunities, our development of strategic international partnerships and comprehensive campus internationalization are nationally recognized models for promoting broad and deep collaborative relationships at home and abroad.

Chancellor Nasser H. Paydar has led IUPUI delegations on trips to the Middle East, southeast Asia, and Latin America with a special focus on identifying academic and research opportunities for IUPUI students and faculty, to strengthen global partnerships, and to connect with IUPUI alumni around the world. Select trips have been chronicled in blog posts, photos, and video.

Saudi Arabia 2018

In March 2018, Chancellor Paydar led a delegation to Saudi Arabia, visiting key university partners in Riyadh and Dammam. The delegation also presented the final report of the National Demographic Health Survey to the Saudi Ministry of Health, a project designed and executed by a research team from IUPUI. In addition, the delegation's visit to the Saudi Ministry of Education helped clarify a number of questions about government sponsored scholarships.  As is always the case, the highlights of the trips were the alumni receptions in Riyadh and Dammam and the connections we forged with our remarkable graduates.
